I'm not sure what error code 18456 means. But something that you can do is to verify if you have SQL server allready installed. If yest ensure that that installation is correct. If no try to install SQL server seperatly (this will give you more exact information if it fails). 1. Run DVD\Prerequisite Components\Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express\SQLEXPR.EXE 2. Found this blog "http://www.eggheadcafe.com/software/aspnet/322400 82/sql-setup-in-vista.aspx". The problem seems to be related to user can't login. Do you have UAC activated? Try to disable it.

I appreciate your reply . What I have done is that I have installed the SQL Server 2005 from my CD. And after that the previous situation is gone. I have noticed that the problem is related to SQL server Installation... Note :- 1. The system was fresh ( No previous installation(NAV/SQL) was there) 2. My NAV 2009 SP1 DVD was not proper in condition

I appreciate your reply . What I have done is that I have installed the SQL Server 2005 from my CD. And after that the previous situation is gone.
