It is about a year remaining to Fetr Eid. 28 Nov is Ghorban Eid (Sacrificing day), I think you are referring to this day, aren't you? Although this day is a public holiday but the sites are open to the visitors. The transportation and public services are not supposed to stop activity.

Yeah it's about 10 months away. I'm planning to go to Iran at around October next year and found that Eid Fitr is on October 10.

That is Eid-ul-Kubra (The sacrificial Eid). Enjoy the Eid with plenty of meat. Ciao, Photos of treks from Everest and Pakistan, Travel tips for Pakistan

You may want to check the dates again. (or maybe I should!) I believe Eid al-Fitr is calculated on/around 10 September in 2010. Eid al-Adha is calculated to be on/around 16 November 2010. So you may not be there during either Eid if you go to Iran in October.

Sorry, I meant Sept 10, so that's Eid al Fitr

10 September 2010, absolutely right.

But also depends upon the moon, when it is sighted.

27/28 Eid-ul-Azha is expected this year, so next year deduct 10 days so it'd be 17th/18th of November next year, simple.

That's basically what I said all along. So we're in agreement. The confusion was caused when you said that Eid-ul-Kubra (the Greater Eid = Eid al-Adha) will be on 19/20 November of next year.
