I would apply for the kyrghiz visa in London. It is very simple and fast. I have just returned from Kyrgyzstan and met someone who had arrived at manas in the middle of the night to find nobody on the passport control desk who was authorised to issue visa's, she had to wait several hours for the man with the stamp.
You fill out a form online print and submit mine was issued in a couple of days.

Hi,
Just wanted to get advice from someone who has already travelled to Kyrgyzstan.
I've read that you can just turn up at Manas airport with your British passport and US dollars to get a 30 day visa.
