Thread: Virgin Coconut Oil

Started 1 month, 2 weeks ago by greeensleeeves
Thank you to the poster who suggested using VCO as a body moisturizer. I bought some at Whole Foods last week to use in the kitchen, but remembered the post about the moisturizer. I tried this last night and wow, it is amazing how soft my skin is this morning. My dry elbows feel like butter. I also used it as a lip treatment with great results. This stuff rocks and also smells like heaven!!!

Works great in smoothies too.... I have been using this internally for about the last four years and it is great for extra energy and the boost in my smoothie keeps me from being hungry all morning....

Oooh, hadn't thought of putting it in a smoothie, but I will definitely try that!!! I've only used it for stir-frying some vegetables.

I love making popcorn with coconut oil. Add a little kosher or sea salt and YUM!

If you are not used to ingesting it, start slowly with 1 TBSP or less, it takes a day or two to get your system used to it.
