Probably an American Flyers course. I would save the cash, suck it up, and study. http://www.americanflyers.net/faakno...tten_class. htm They have a sweet 1985 stock photo and everything.

Yeah AF will get the job done. I believe it's $295 + another $100 or so for materials. I believe it's $471 after it's all said and done. Typically the course is taught by someone who has taught THAT subject for some time, and they break it down and simplify the material. Only thing I didn't like was you probably will not ace the test, pass yes, but ace, no.

ATC will normally issue instruction to hold short of the critical area when < 800-2. However AIM 2-3-5(b) states... When the ILS critical area is being protected, the pilot should stop so no part of the aircraft extends beyond the holding position marking. When approaching the holding position marking, a pilot should not cross the marking without ATC clearance . ILS critical area is not ...

You will never get an interview and if you do they will cancel flights simply so pilots who never made a mistake in their logbooks can come and laugh at you. ALPA will use your picture to bemoan the low quality of pilots looking for work. Kill yourself now, there is no hope.

I think there's talk about adding people who have mistakes in their logbooks to the "jumpseat protection list". You're screwed. -mini

I don't know what all you hacks are talking about. I've never made a mistake in my logbook.

Every so often they come up to me and say "Do you mind if we screen your passangers?". I usually say "I can't really say no, so go ahead. Theres a whole 10 people going to Crecent City today". Not that they would be more useful doing that to a flight going to Frankfurt or something.
