Thread: Vintage Photos of Ian McShane

Started 1 year, 8 months ago by mcpete
I've posted some vintage photos of Ian McShane on flickr. Go to: http://www.flickr.com/photos/mcshanebest/sets/7215 7605638184739/ where you'll find my photo stream. Photos range from age 7, to recent, but most are from the 60's and 70's as I wanted to share some of the more rare photos in my collection. I've added a few more since I first posted this, and I'll eventually be adding more ...

Very nice - some I hadn't seen before. The one you have labeled as being from Sitting Target - with him in a suit and tie? Is actually from Tam Lin. I especially like that one of him with Sylivia Kristel and the one of him taking a snap of himself. Oh, and he was actually only *19* when filming started on 'The Wild and The Willing'! (his birthday is in September) Thanks for sharing!

More,more,--- More!?

Ha! I knew he snuck out to audition, but I didn't know he claimed to have a dental appointment. :o) Had he and John Hurt really not done another film together till now? I hadn't thought about it, but I guess so. Feel free to browse through my photos to see if I have any you haven't seen: http://yuchtar.users4.50megs.com/Gallery/Gallery.h tml#Ian (looking at new photos) LOL! The Vanity ...

Yuchtar, I sent you a private message - check your inbox! ;-) The 1962 article is a PR piece about his singing ability and the possibility that he might become a pop star. After The Wild & the Willing they were trying to make him into a singing sensation (as I'm sure you know, he made a little record to promote the film). Thanks for the link to your photos - fantastic collection!

A private message via email?? Hasn't arrived yet. I did NOT know he made a record for that film! I have yet to get my hot little hands on that movie at all - was it EVER released on video? Is the song heard in the film? He does have a nice smooth voice. :o) Thanks for that tidbit of info - something else I must now hunt for - LOL! (I'm still searching for the infamous Cosmo magazine). ;^)

The younger version of him looks like Rufus Sewell. Not surprising, as they come from the same country.

They both come from England? Then of course they must look alike! That makes sense - oh wait, no it doesn't...

"They both come from England? Then of course they must look alike! That makes sense - oh wait, no it doesn't..." Yes it does. People coming from the same country often look alike.

Also people from the same country or same geographic location often look similar. You can have different people looking like brothers, even if they are unrelated. It's because of the gene pool found in a certain area. More people have the chance to share certain common genes if they are born in the same country.
