squall, I have Xp SP1 and during Windows Recovery it asked for this viaagp1.sys file, can you please provide a link where I can download it from? thanks in advance

If you have SP2 installed, you can try the Microsoft Universal AGP driver, which has replaced the VIA AGP driver, by opening the properties for CPU to AGP2.0/AGP3.0 Controller in Device Manager, and using the 'Update Driver' feature: - Select "Not at this time" when prompted if Windows can connect to Windows Update - Install from a list or specific location - Don't search, I will ...

I am having a very similiar problem. I have read through several Different articles suggesting ways to fix this problem. I have tried the hyperion 4 in 1 driver and I have downloaded vgaagp1.sys and then pointed windows to it during the install.. I have booted my computer in vga mode.. I have done everything that you can imagine to try to fix this problem. Everytime I go to install my ...

theDisease, it wont help. Fortunatley I have 2 hard drives to play with, so i transfered all data from C to D and then deleted everything on HD C and reinstalled fresh Windows XP, seemed to work ok untill I install my motherboard VGA drivers (via drivers). Now it freezes... What I have to find out now if its that driver problem: exact driver is vtdisp.dll see post Here or if its my ...
