so anybody in here witch current android pwered phones making the switch to the Motorola droid, with verison wireless? I have the G1 now, and making the switch to the Motoroa Droid!! I just ordered mine a few minutes ago!!

I've played with a co-worker's Motorola Droid. It's a great OS, great touchscreen, crappy physical keyboard. I don't like how it handles multiple Gmail accounts. I am on mine right now, absolutely fantastic. It seems big at first, but it is barely larger than some of its competitors and I find it fits my hands better than others I looked at. Who is Verison? And checkout Youtube. You can find comparisons of the iphone and the Droid 2.0. The iphone seems to edge out the Droid from what I saw, but I didn't look at all of the comparisons. Mark

While many have coined the Droid as Motorola's attempt to usurp the iPhone, I don't think that's quite a fair analysis. Furthermore, I believe the Droid's market is much more niche, combating the executive smart-phones rather than recreational smart-phones which the iPhone has undoubtedly claimed. I do hope the Droid success as I am a shareholder of Motorola, but for all the investing in ...

I don't think i would drop my carrier for a phone that was just released. More than likely, it has some bugs that no one is aware of yet, and it will be a pretty major thing. It happens with all new technology anymore.

Really? I guess it depends on the brand. I've only had LG and I have had awesome luck. I threw my LG VX8300 at a concrete wall very very hard (~35mph or so) when the Giants beat the Pats in the Super Bowl and it worked just fine afterwards. I don't know of many phones that could survive that. I also have had no problems with either the VX3200 or my current enV2 . The Razr sucked ass, but you could have a Razr for either Cingular or VZ.

As in the manual is available online, but does not come in the box. A starter manual does, but the full manual does not; atleast not with mine.

I keep discovering new things with this phone, its great. I need a full 24 hours or so to mess around with it and figure it out. lol
