Thread: V remake

Dune was terrible, very cheap looking, I have some fondness for the movie tho...but not a lot

So, the third episode was pretty solid. Definitely an improvement with the writing. I hope episode four keeps the momentum going.

I see a lot of people talking about V, but I never had interest in it when I was growing up so really have no love or excitement about it now. I am beginning to get curious about what the big deal is. I also remember Dune being talked about, but didn't get interested in it either.

i recently rewatched the original and they made the reveal very fast there too. i am pretty sure it was in the first 60-90 minutes. but it was definately in the first part of the mini. i think having them have advance troops on earth ahead of time is a very good idea. not thrilled with the angsty teen angle. but i love having tudyk as a villian.

I'm mixed on it right now,especially since i watch some of the original on Sci Fi the week before the new one. Don't get me wrong this one is 1000 times better as far as effects,but you can only use that welll for so long before it gets old,look at Battlestar Galactica,that was a character driven show that happen to have special effects.If they can get a story going it might have a chance.
