Thread: VDH on Islamic extremism

Started 1 month ago by katinga
PC becomes bankrupt when you are at war, putting the "but Christians do it" meme to rest: While there is sometimes talk of backlash and anti-Muslim hysteria since 9/11, I don’t think the number of Muslims attacked or killed is comparable to the number of non-Muslims killed by Muslims who evoked Islam in some way as a catalyst for their angers. Nor do we see comparable serial Christian,...

http://www.docstoc.com/docs/10582301/President-Oba ma%E2%80%9... http://boards.fool.com/Message.asp?mid=27932380 I wonder how many school boards will declare a special recess at the appointed hour? If I were on a school board, I'd vote for it. And if I had kids in school, we'd have a family emergency that day, I think. The LibDems have been preaching for decades how cruel it was ...

GOOD NEWS! OBAMA CAVING ON PUBLIC OPTION: http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0909/26672.ht ml "And although House leaders have said their members will demand the inclusion of a public insurance option, Obama has no plans to insist on it himself, the officials said. "...On health care, Obama’s willingness to forgo the public option is sure to anger his party’s liberal base. But some...

Always remember: watch what he does, don't listen to what he says. Well . . . listen to it, but never trust it. Interesting, isn't it--Teddy Kennedy isn't even all the way cold in his grave yet, and HusseinObaba has already thrown him and his "dream" under the bus. There can't be the slightest doubt that H.Obaba promised Kennedy a nationalization of the medical professions in ...

I wonder if Chris Mathews will still call him the "last Kennedy brother" now? Just imagine Bill Clinton, the first black president standing alongside the Obama, the last Kennedy brother. An amazing visual fantasy the libs can conjure up in their pea brains.

<< My shower head is probably 5 gal a minute...Niagara Falls...or more...I took out the restrictor plastic plate 20 years ago.... Those tiny little government-mandated toilets to save water require three extra flushes. LOL! >> ok, attention-on-deck. S.T. the lib/envirowacko has to say a few words on this subject. (er, reading of the teleprompter.) >> I'm shocked to hear this. You must be a racist HusseinObabaphobe! All he's going to do is scare the bejesus out of them about catching swine flu. Howdy Joel, Hmmmm ... but how do you really feel about the guy <g>? In a general sense, do you think "exaggeration" and or a bit of emotional hyperbole is the best (or even reasonable) tactic when trying to engage in a substantive discussion on any known controversial topic? And more specifically, what good do you think it serves for a non-conservative "visitor" to a conservative ...

In the top 5%....... Heck...you see the interviews on Leno about asking folks in the street....like "Who is the Vice President of the US"? In what state do you live? (and a good percentage of the people couldn't even name the state they live in!).....and similar..... Really incredibly dumb people...well, they are sheeple...they elected Obama.... t.

He's not the commander in chief - he's the BS'er in chief. ______________ Though a consistent and constant liar, and someone I do not hold a great deal of respect for on any level, he IS Commander and Chief. That's a fact, what he says means something, otherwise I wouldn't care about his lies. I hope he has turned a corner, I hear he is about to can Rahm as well, so we will find out. But I hold no real hope. Well...

Here's the report itself: http://foreign.senate.gov/imo/media/doc/Tora_Bora_Report.pdf... ... The whole thing reads like you'd expect it to: like a partisan hit job... What part or parts do you think are inaccurate?

TheDope1: I think you're right. Add Noonan, Peggy (whom I used to adore but now have no use for) and Parker, Kathleen to that list. Sell outs. Perhaps see also Frum, David. But I'm not sure he's really had much success yet in that transformation. He seems to be taking it slowly, and maybe looking for the Kathleen Parker positioning of claiming to be the "true conservative" while basically embracing liberalism...

Maybe the Congressman got it all wrong, and "the Creator" didn't do any such thing, he left it entirely to us to figure out, and generally speaking, we haven't. Looking to "God" for rights is about as fruitful as looking to him to plant next year's soybean crop. It seems that you admit that we got the concept right, and have done so for some time See for example the OT prophets. A couple at...

Liberal rush to judgment

I brought this up on PA. One of the usual suspects actually suggested that the suicide angle is a cover-up, presumably by those right-wing wacko Kentucky law enforcement agencies. I kid you not. They'd better hope that those "right-wing wacko" Joint Chiefs of Staff, CIA operatives, and FBI officers hear them say such things, or they'll march in with their jack boots and haul them off to Gitmo.

Dems scored worse than Repubs on 10/12 questions and worse than Independents on 8/12 questions. 12/12 for me. So we have yet more evidence that conservatives are more informed than libs? :) ROTFL. Serves them right for getting their news from Jon Stewart.

Bah, got one wrong! I knew as soon as I submitted it that I had clicked the wrong one too. It was the unemployment one. I hit 15%, then realized that this was Michigan's unemployment rate, while that of the country is closer to 10%. D'oh!

Folks, The following is a 911 call in Oklahoma of a woman fearing for her life and armed with a shotgun. Her words to the dispatcher, "I don't want to have to kill this man, but I'll kill him graveyard dead." She had nowhere to go. The police were on their way, but she had but a short time and the police were minutes away. Her tragic experience is one more reason why Good Guys should be armed. She'll probably...
