Thread: Using crockpots to warm towels

Does anyone use this as a way to warm towels.

Yes my former instructor did that...not sure exactly how safe it is.

We did at school, but I was always worried that the towels might burn - you have to keep a little water in the pot so they don't scorch. Are you considering using a crock pot?

I used a crock pot when I started out. Didn't like warming towels that way because it got them too hot, even when the temp was set on low. But I used it until I could afford a cabi - I love my cabit much better.

Veggie Steams work well too. BUT usually there is a ding!! <---kinda loud......jan

Yes I have heard about veggie steamer, you can get it at wal mart and you can get them with 3 levels ....

I use one at home when I give my boyfriend facials. It works great but sometimes it gets a little too hot.

I use a roasting pan for my body tx towels.... still kind of like a crock pot. I do have to watch the temp, but after using it several times, I have it down pat. I used a crock pot before when I worked out of my house & I coiled the towels inside & placed a bit of H2O in the bottom & set it on low. Like skinsmything said, I also laid a towel across the top to avoid the CLANG noise. But with ...
