Thread: Using Magic Eye with Freesat and Sky

I have just had a Freesat disc installed professionally to use in conjunction with a Freesat dig box. Brilliant picture. I have Sky plus installed in another room and in order that Sky can be viewed in a second room I use a "magic eye". This has worked brilliantly for the past five years. The magic eye is current plugged into the RF Out 9volt coaxial socket on the Sky box and into the back of (a soon to be redundant) VCR...

If I've understood your requirement correctly, then just bung the magic eye into the RF In (Aerial Socket) on the TV. The Freesat Box has no RF In or Out and is independently connected as a source to the TV via SCART or HDMI. When you want to watch stuff from the remote Sky Box, just select whichever TV Channel number you've got the RF from the Sky Box tuned to. To revert to the Freesat Box, just select the correct Source on the TV.
