I have just had a Freesat disc installed professionally to use in conjunction with a Freesat dig box. Brilliant picture. If I've understood your requirement correctly, then just bung the magic eye into the RF In (Aerial Socket) on the TV. The Freesat Box has no RF In or Out and is independently connected as a source to the TV via SCART or HDMI. When you want to watch stuff from the remote Sky Box, just select whichever TV Channel number you've got the RF from the Sky Box tuned to. To revert to the...

Many thanks that is precisely the question I was asking and yes plugging the magic eye straight into the back of the TV and the coaxial link from the Sky + box was the answer. It was because the Freesat recorder does not have an RF in or out socket that I wondered how to continue using the Magic Eye, which is a superb bit of kit.
