at about 50,000 miles my transmission started making a banging noise when it shifts. It went smoothly into gear didn't hesitate, become sluggish or jerk as if it slipped, it just banged as if something hit the under side of the vehicle. It kind of went away, now at 100,000 miles it is doing it again and is jerking into gear, anyone have any similar issues? (I already serviced the transmissin ...

I found a website that said the valve body components inside the transmission were failing. it also said that a transmission cooler would extend the life of the transmission? im gonna try it, mine seems to be on its last leg...
Was you analysis correct? Did this fix your problem. I am having the same banging sound as I shift gears. Any help is appreciated. Can you give us the web address? I had my transmission die at only 59000 miles, and 300 miles from home on my 2006. no towing and oil changed every 3000 miles. I am so upset about this and want as much info as possible. If anyone has advise or info, please advise me. My oil changes were at a certified licensed shop but not the dealership, so I am wondering if they will give me a problem with ...
Youknow what I didn't bookmark the page and now I can't find it. I did find another that seems to have inexpensive used engine and transmissions. I had another incident a while back with another car where I purchased a remanufactured transmission for about $2,000, and it only lasted about 2yrs. So now I am very leary about spending a bunch of money on a used, rebuilt, remanufactured of even a new...
I didn't book mark the page, but I found another that has low price engines and transmissions. http://www.automotix.net/usedengines/chevrole... The transmission cooler (kragen auto parts under $100) did reduce the shift stiffness. I think in my case it is just a little too little and a little too late. I plan on replacing the transmission soon. I am very hesitant on which to buy becuase ...
have 06 uplander. transmision jerking in/out of gear when at stop light and on acceleration . changed trans. oil and filter, but didn't help. found problem was bad spark plug wires shorting to engine bock on occasion.it was draining enouph power to affect transmision solenoids .moral of story is .....make sure your vehicle is tuned up before you decide to have any major drivetrain work done.
The uplander is a piece of crap. It is a wonder that gm went down the tubes. Its a bad car all the way around I have an 06 and it has given me nothing but trouble. I will never buy another CHEVY ever!!!!!!
