Try answering "No" to "Get important updates for installation" and see if that works. If it does then after the install completes you can get the updates.

In the process of trying to install Windows 7, it asks to connect to the internet to "Get important updates for installation". I answer yes and it attemtps to update the files but after several minutes, I get the error message "windows could not update the installation files. To install windows, close setup and restart the installation." I have closed setup and restarted the computer and ...
