That's definitely something I'm going to consider, but I'm still looking to do some motor work while it's going to be easier. What's your opinion on replacing the exhaust manifolds with decent headers, and a new intake & carb. ? I figure I might as well do it now, while it's out on the engine stand, and easy to work on.

I don't travel often with it on the highway. If it helps, I bought the car three years ago with 83k miles, it now has 86,700 on it. When I do, it's maybe once a month, for about 2 hours tops. I take it out for local shows, and to cruise around with on nice days. My goal is to be able to smoke the riced-out VW jetta or Honda civic at the traffic light / straightaway. ...
