I have the V1.5 (Obese Ipod shiny looking) home hub, It says BtHomeHub-2505 IS there any possible way i can unlock this, or configure it so i can use it as a wireless box on my talktalk broadband connection? Or shall i sell it on. Thanks, sammy :-)

Extract the standard config file from your hub, compare it to his modified one. Start with his config file and see if it works. That's what hacking is all about.

I've got a linux prompt on the homehub v1.5 Need help with squashfs to proceed. Dawmat. I am wondering why on earth all went well and you managed to flash all 3 routers with the new CFE now you are getting read errors. Perhaps it's the JTAG interface or maybe the printer port settings? I don't believe either router is faulty as they all work. With regards to the CFE not retaining the Serial and the MAC addresses sadly that is the part of the CFE that had to be changed. In that block of data that contains the 3...

ms90210 Did you backed your previous CFE twice and the comparison of both backed up files was exactly the same? If that was not the case you may have an unreliable unbuffered JTAG cable and it flashed the CFE erroneously. If not, try the reflashing utility from Thomson SpeedTouch and reflash the whole firmware again. Remember there are 2 firmwares that you can try.

sorry, use this age for the 6.1.9.6 firmware http://www.inaudible.co.uk/temp/st7g/ its the one that ends with 6196.bli i think it begins with ZZNA The instructions etc are for linux so you may need gzip to unzip it but the updater and firmware are windoze compatible. sorry, use this age for the 6.1.9.6 firmware http://www.inaudible.co.uk/temp/st7g/ its the one that ends with 6196.bli i think it begins with ZZNA The instructions etc are for linux so you may need gzip to unzip it but the updater and firmware are windoze compatible.

hey PSi i followed ur whole tutorial every thing went smooth after flashing now all lights turned red and when i connect ethernet cable i m unable to connect to modem no green lights and hub is restarting after every 10 min

i also have a 1.5 and ive been through endless tutorials and firmwares and all i have had is messed up lights but it just wont take the 7G firmware. so im going to TRY and use the hubphone with the hub as a phone just by connecting the hub to my netgear <now my adsl router. If anyone knows how to do this it would be Grrrrreat Thanks B
