(Sorry, I know that I just joined a few days ago and haven't even set a date yet but I'm posting like crazy. What can I say? I'm overzealous) Anyway, we're thinking of asking our good friend to get ordained online so that he can officiate at our wedding. Ditto moshuya...if you want a friend to officiate the ceremony the self-uniting license is the way to go. The friend can legally be your "witness" - well, one of them - but de facto officiate a ceremony for you. Otherwise, if you do want to go a more sentimental route than city hall, there are many qualified nondenominational officiants in the Philly area who will put together a beautiful ...
