Welcome fellow yanks (and yanks in spirit), to our long overdue film club. So here we are. In here you are more than welcome to discuss any film you've seen, or are planning on seeing. In here we'll also opine...
just got done watching The Informers. A bit disappointed, I had graphic imaginations after reading the book, but the movie was meh. American psycho was great, why didn't they go into American Psycho's direction, rather than cut some graphical parts that were actually essence. ): at least they didn't do it like Less Than Zero, the movie is like the opposite of the book
I'm torn about Fantastic Mr. Fox. I love Wes Anderson, the visual style looks outstandingly original, and it's getting some fantastic reviews on Rotten Tomatoes. The concern expressed in the minority of negative reviews, however, is that the British charm of the children's book by Roald Dahl is lost in the American adaptation. I'm probably going to see it next weekend, but I hope it doesn't ...
I watched scary movies for Halloween and found 2 I like. May, about a social outcast who, I think, kills people for a Frankenstein (disc stopped 30 minutes in, but from previews I think this happens) and The Grim Reaper, a video nasty that was censored. Looked good though.
