How do I uninstall a Windows Update? The recent update to my speakers rendered them to half volume no matter what I do to tweak the speakers. Who needs this? -- Hendricks Gallery

There is absolutely *no need* to use System Restore for this issue, Bonnie. Just roll back the driver for the soundcard. Open Control Panel, then System Click the Hardware tab Click the Device Manager button Click the plus sign next to Sound, video, and game controllers Click on the *name* of the sound card.
