Thread: Uninstall Windows XP Operating System and Wipe Hard Drive

Hi, My name is Alex and today I got an awful virus. It immediately shut my computer down and when I restarted it I got tons of internet explorer pop ups and a program called WeFi was installed on my computer. I would like to wipe my hard drive clean and take off Windows XP to get ride of the virus. I would then reinstall windows because I have all of the complete disks that came with the system....

Insert the Windows XP installation or recovery disk, start the computer, and follow the prompts. On some Dell computers, you can do the same thing by pressing CTRL+F11 as soon as the computer starts.
