Unemployment is certainly quite a bit higher than the stated figures, this is because job losses have gone on for so long that there are people dropping off the unemployment ranks, that are still not employed, but unable to find work, so they are technically unemployed. Even the U6 figures of 17.5% are likely to be inaccurate. Ask yourself this, when considering this question, "are the methods of figuring unemployment the same as...
