( post 2 of 5) YES but it is a PITA. IMHO To remove the bellhousing is only 2 bolts. Allen screw wrench will remove them without buying any special tools from MERC. Just get a wholesale tool impact socket 1/2 " drive and take your time. The allen screws in the bellhousing are locktite secured in. So it takes a bit of work to initially to remove....

( post 4 of 5) thanks. I have the tool, but loaned it out, and the dude is on Vacation. I'll figure something out. I had everything apart when I replaced the gimbal ring, so it better be ok. Only about 20 hours on it. Looks like the clip on the water line was rubbing against bellows, and wore a hole in it. At least thats my guess,...

( post 5 of 5) Bell housing is off. Just waitin on parts. glad I pulled it. One of the hinge pins was kinda loose, and I pulled the cover, and tightened my tiller arm up, and got all the play outta the gimbal ring. Bad news is the alignment is off. coupler looks ok, but the splines are definitly worn. tool goes in about ...
