The international supports it because it will bring the numbers up. There will be more jobs if this happens, as they will be bringing much of the work back in house which will increase membership numbers. I think the cutoff date for the full pay/pension was if you had 20-22years...

Lets just say I am in a position that I can find out lots of info on this subject. At this point Sergio M. doesn't care if the $40K is enough or not. The international has gotten it up from the initial amount of zero. Wait until you see what was given up to get the $40K.

Judged: 1 1 1 the Canadian government pays for Chrysler workers healthcare there and we don't have that in the USA. The USA just cant compete anymore if other countries help subsidize companies. It really is a shame and our government doesn't even care. That is what Obama is trying to sell us right now. He is trying to force this down our throats at the expense of $3 trillion. That puts the burden on our grandchildren and great...

Judged: 1 What the USA is doing is not the the same as Canada in regards to healthcare. In Canada everyone is covered under a single program and no one pays anything for ANY medical services. To do this everyone must contribute to the system which calls for everyone to pay a small tax. In the USA, the insurance companies will still run 90% of all healthcare and eveyone will have to pay. You just have to pay your money to them( a for profit...
