Thread: Tylenol with Codine?

My sister is breastfeeding. She had to go to the dentist and have two teeth pulled. THe dentist prescribed her Tylenol with Codine. Is it safe? I read on here that it isn't at all! Why would he prescribe her something that isn't safe for baby? She told him she is breastfeeding? THoughts?

My doctor prescribed it to me when I was discharge from the hossy after my c-section. I never took it but I wondered the same thing. I would call her doctor or her LO's ped to ask.

My hospital gave it pp and apparently it is safe. I only two it for the two days I was in the hospital.
