I am having somewhat a hard time sorting thru the bs, but i think there is a chance Turbine loses the licences as a resolution of the argument between Atari. It would be a just punishment for the way, they treated DDO and all its customers.
Ok, i know id lose my most favourite game, but hey. There are other worlds with (perhaps) more ...
Well, i'm not sure in understood correctly. But according to the article and the posts in that thread it might be possible that Turbine finally ditches Atari. That might actually be a very good thing.
It is true that there is almost no advertisement, that being Atari's responsibility, and the rumor (?) that Atari might create a NWN MMO makes it even more obvious that they are just trying to ...
Think this was a good comment:
"Looking at the brief, it appears that Turbine has bent over backwards to work with Atari, and that Atari has really done nothing but feign poverty and take money. Obviously the brief is a one sided document presenting Turbine's side of the case, but Atari's financial difficulties have been well known, so the claims are not outside the realm of possibility....
anyone remember the suggestion forum being flooded with "advertise the game" suggestions, and the response generally being "don't shout at CM or turbine, shout at Atari"?
looks like turbine are going to kick Atari in the love sacks, and its not going to stop mod9. i wonder if together with the $30 they are claiming for they can also wrestle the DnD rights off Atari too?

That's up to Wizards to decide as they, at the end of the day, hold the IP rights.

Atari got their licence tfrom Hasbro (who owns WotC) to create and publish ...

Natashaelle, reading the new documents, I cannot not really see any new information? It seems to me to be more-or-less a rehash of the original filing from August, except that they are citing cases this time. Am I missing something?
Not to sure what support from CM has been lacking? I understand their communication has been rotten with regards to updates and events but besides GM's not being available at certain times I've always been sorted out by them with regards to anything else. Also CM didn't sign any PR contract..they host...plain and simple. So what you are saying is CM failed to do what Turbine have had to do because of Atari's failure? Bit...

Oh it's pretty much the same information, it is presented though with far greater force and clarity in my opinion -- and Turbine's accusations appear to be far more...

Simple argument to that though is the possiblility that they had to...
Turbine has filed an amended complaint http://forums.ddo.com/showpost.php?p...73&postcount=1 The following sections are new in the new filing : 7 16 27 28 29 34 35 45 55 56 70 76 96 97 101 The last one is the one that is probably meant to reassure players Quote: Atari has further falsely asserted that (a) Turbine owes additional royalties to Atari pursuant to Section 2 of the Distribution Agreement, and Sections 1-3 of the Letter...

One more time: No "great big red I Win Buttons from DDO Store" like you call them can be used in raids, so no, US will do as well as us (too?) proud Europeans... The store was just "easy to use so you don't have to go out and lose time" items and will gather money for the game while us will still be stuck in our "money is bad" mentality. What more? F2P was THE great solution to...
