Its a holiday & a lot of kids like candy and all that. Yes, its taking candy from a stranger but its safe as long as the candy looks okay.

Okay, i've never ever been trick-or-treating. Not even as a little kid. Its wrong! The number of times people say to their kids 'Don't take candy from strangers, you don't know what can happen' Or 'Don't talk to strangers' And by letting them go trick or treating your encourging them to knock on strangers doors and get candy from them! What do you think?

Trick or treating is fun for little kids just make sure you go to a safe neighborhood where there's lots of other people too.

Sorry to hear about your situation. For the rest of us, trick-or-treating is one of the best parts of our childhood. We don't live in fear and think everyone is out to get us. We trust our neighbors because we have no reason not to.

I think you're nuts. Halloween is the BEST holiday of the year simply because it's only purpose is having fun! You get to dress up in costumes (which I adore), children get candy (YAY!) and there is no huge meal to prepare, no present to buy, nothing at all to de except for having fun! gosh, stop being so critical on things. If you weren't to critical, maybe you be at least happy. What I think, its a tradition and it's for fun. It's not like neighbor is handing the illegal products.
