I'll admit I'm terrible at using the gun, but I find myself getting more hitmarkers with it than with the Double Barreled Shotgun. Even at close range, unless I have my gun dead-set to their face they survive. Two Trench Gun shells couldn't even take out one non-Juggernaut user at close-range...! These are my perk setups: 1: Grip, Juggernaut, Extreme Conditioning 2: Bomb Squad, Camouflage, Dead ...
^ What he said. I always use steady aim with shotguns because I never aim down the sights with them. That's pretty much just pointless. And stopping power's nice to help you get a one-hit kill.
Stopping Power is a must... But no need for a grip, Use bayonet when you get it, THEN you can use whatever perk 2 you want, Because after you get the bayonet, USE IT!! If you're right behind a frw guys don't bother shooting them, Just bask in the gloriness of having a bayonet on your shawty...
Put on Dead silence and Camoflauge, and go play Hardcore. That's what I did. Then again, I only play HC. For core, I used to have Grip Stopping power/juggernaut Extreme conditioning/steady aim. I prefer conditioning over steady aim because it allows you to close in quicker and flank quicker. When I unlocked the Bayonet, I found it more useful on the shotty, plus it allowed me a perk one. I always use Double Tap as it is still OHK in CCQ from upper torso. I only use Shottys on a few maps like Dome and Coutyard, and like said above I only use it in certain areas of the map. I also use Satchels or bazooka too..... but only cuz its fun.
defiantly use stopping power over juggernaut. (mp40 with stopping power still kills juggernaut in 2 hits) grip extreme conditioning PSN: McLovin_McNugget
In MW, you can choose to use juggernarnaut over stopping power. But in W@W, stopping power is a must. Seeing as most people in W@W use powerful guns such as the MP40, you won't get many second chances if you don't kill them in the first shot.
