Thread: Travel insurance with pre-exisitng conditions

Started 1 year, 2 months ago by paulfoel
MIL is coming to Florida with us on holidays this year, and whereas my employer pays for travel insurance for me and familty, MIL has got to get her own. I was wondering about pre-existing conditions since I dont really want her to get caught out in the USA becasue its so expensive. Shes got asthma - not too serious - but want to be covered just in case. Anyway, went on moneysupermarket....

try insureandgo.com as I get insurance every year with them and I have pre existing condition. For next year we paid £35 for 2 people for 1 week world cover and that included covering me. The extra premium was £7. I did do other quotes on moneysupermarket and they were looking hundreds of £

More Than have given us the cheapest for an annual policy for our family of 4, one with asthma, one with cardiac problems, for the past 2 years. They beat all the specialist insureres by miles. Good luck.

By all means shop around - but the cheapest is not the best ! You quoted £520, someone else mentions £35 - does anyone in their right mind think that these two policies give equal cover to equal people ? We use Saga, they are not the cheapest - but when needed they come up with the goods !

I had been looking at the post on here and decided to give them a try. I have just got annual insurance for both of us - worldwide including Amercia and the Carribean and they have quoted me £132.45. I just had to share this as usually it...

Asthma, if under control, is often not a problem with travel insurance - but do declare it. Give insurance companies a ring and talk to them. Good luck
