I was kind of bored so I thought I'd rank my TFs. I pretty much have them divided into three categorires: movie, MP and Alt, and Classic/Universe/etc. I'll start here with the movie toys. I'm going to use a school grading scale: 100-90 = A, 89-80 = B, 79-70 = C, 69-60 = D, 60 and below = F. I'll continue updating it as I collect the ROTF toys. Overall I love this line because of the ...
QUOTE (Optics @ Apr 3 2009, 12:27 PM) I think you are being a little too nice when ranking these figures, I'd say most of these are Cs or Ds (......zzzz nuttz) with one or two As. I'll still do some tweaking after posting my other lists, but I think I just like the movie toys more than most people. Conversely, I would end up using a lot of Cs and Ds if I rated the Animated toys....
Youre not the only one out there. Personally, I have little interest in the Animated toys (BA aside), not that it stops me from watching and enjoying the show. I feel you were a bit easy on poor Jazz (one of my few figs that bug me). If only a few more of his joints/mechanisms were ball instead of hinge (shoulder and ankle), he'd be a whole lot more fun. Also, if his alt-mode was a little...
1) (Tie) Blackout (Premium version): What an absolutely amazing figure. The only thing holding him down is scale. 1) (Tie) Ironhide (Premium version): The only thing holding him back is a proper lightpipe. One of the most inventive and fun transformations EVER. 2) Optimus Prime (Leader Class; Premium version): the first movie toy I ever fiddled with, and one of the most fun ...
Thanks for the list, ShellformerV1. I had forgotten Landmine and Long Arm from my list. I also have a couple Real Gear toys but I'm not that crazy about them... I hear a lot of complaints about Leader Brawl. I wish everyone else had the same experience with him that I have. I don't have any of those problems...
See, I've had the exact opposite experience: everyone I know loves Leader Brawl (the original version) and can't be bothered with either the deluxe or the Deep Desert repaint. I do wish I had the presence of mind to snag Dropkick and Fracture the ONE time I had ever seen these figures on the shelf. I also got Big Daddy and Breakaway--can't say I can recommend either one (Big Daddy's alt ...
He's very light and feels very cheap and hollow compared to the other Scouts.

Just got the ice cream twins. Actually better than I expected! I'll definitely have to get the Reprolabel set. Editing with the new boards seems much better...
Hey John 14:6: Have you done the HA Sideswipe mod yet? Mudflap and Skids astound me. For two characters that were so incredibly IRRITATING in the movie, their figures are a divine light shining through the fog. Their deluxe figures are nothing short of astounding, and the Ice Cream mold is just plain fun--scale and articulation aside. I plan on getting both their HA toys as well. The designs are so amazingly fantastic, that it beggars the...
QUOTE (TheFallen963 @ Jun 3 2009, 02:48 PM) I'm getting The Fallen in the mail tommorow, but I'm gonna rate it from the one video I saw on this site. I'm also gonna buy Legends Jetfire, so I shall rate that as well. ROTF Voyager Class "The Fallen": A- ROTH Legends Class "Jetfire": A- The Fallen an A- for the spring-loaded feet, and Legends Jetfire an A- for not being able to...
QUOTE (ShellformerV1 @ Jul 28 2009, 11:03 AM) Open him up. He's fun. He's one of the top 3-4 voyagers in the Bayverse toy line IMO. I think I am heck he isnt a exclusive figure so why keep him sealed plus i see him at wal-mart all the time
i really like his face under the mask. i just wish there was some way they could've gotten the flap out of the way. now i know the symbol on his head is a minor detail.. but i really love it.

First, let me say I'm a big fan of the movie toys. Now here's my rankings: 1. ROTF Leader Prime - 100(A+) - Yes, he has some minor flaws, but I can't take one point away from him. He is an utterly fantastic representation of the movie character. 2. ROTF Voyager Starscream - 99(A) - I'm very impressed by the advancement from the first version, particularly in how they folded up his whole robot mode into his flat, realistic...

Come on McD's lady, don't gimme that look. I know I'm not the first mom to ask for a specific transformer animated toy.
