Thread: Trackball fans

I see everyone running for the 9700 because of the trackpad.I was wondering is there anyone who still loves there trackball? I have played with the trackpad on the 8520 and I just can't grasp the feel for it like my trackball.Maybe I'm the last of a dying breed.But I like the trackball much better than the trackpad.If there are anymore trackball fans out there speak up now. So I won't ...

Im totally with you! When I was getting my BB I looked at the one with the trackpad. It just didnt feel right lol

I don't like the trackball. It tends to move when I'm trying to click on links. I haven't tried the trackpad out yet but I'm sure I'd like that one better. Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com

Well if it would be possible to mod a track pad like the track ball then who knows till then the track ball rocks ^_^ due to customisability. Quote: It tends to move when I'm trying to click on links. maybe yours needs a clean or a replacement? :P

i much prefer the track ball, my mates have the 8520 and i dont like the track pad at all. plus the track ball looks better

I've never personally used a trackpad, though I wanna try it out. However, I do very much love my trackball and could see where that might not work all that well for me. I have fat, greasy fingers, so touch screens are hard for me to work. While I don't know how the trackpad works, I'm guessing it's not gonna like my fingers much, because nothing in that technology realm does....

i enjoy my trackball, i just don't like its known inconsistencies from time to time. It would have been nice to see rim master the trackball before introducing the trackpad....
