Thread: Toyota Camry Prices Paid and Buying Experience - CarSpace Automotive Forums

Started 6 months ago by oyster
I went to local dealerships. (I am in small town, population is around 50k) They never let me know the exact APR. Is that general in "buy cars" ? They just tell the monthly payment. I cannot understand what they are doing.

Hi Guys, Plan to buy a 2009 or 2010 Camry LE around Baltimore area. Any advice on the dealers ? If you got a nice deal, please let me know. My email: loveDA40 AT gmail.com Thanks a bunch! PP

I'm a little confused here. The price I see on that Fitzmall for a 2010 Camry LE is $19,300 but I'm seeing messages people are posting for the same car for under $18K. Are they posting messages about model year 2009 not 2010?

Long story short, I'm helping mom with the purchase of another car. She's pretty much narrowed it down to a Camry and is looking to pay cash. She doesn't drive much (less than 8,000 a year). She's very practical and wants something to get around town in and take an occasional trip to see the grandkids. She's doesn't care about most of the add-on gadgets, a lot of horsepower, etc. ...

HI Kiawah, Many thanks for the advice! I will be upfront about it. The trade-in price on KBB is kind of low. PP

I was quoted $25,500 OTD for this vehicle (we pay 6.25% tax in TX). The price before TTL should be about $23,817. Is this price OK? Thank you.

Leather XLE for 23,482   Doesn't have the moulding, doesn't include the rebate which would lower it further.

I have shared the specifics of the deal on this Forum for everyone's benefit. Posting the dealer's name and address will not help anyone because it is a local Massachusetts deal which is only available through their referral program and by contacting a specific person at the dealership. Also, the rules of the Forum prevent posting of names of salespeople, their telephone numbers or other contact information.

by the way this is for the virginia beach, va area. i no a dealership offering a 2010 camry ce for $19k but that is not out the door not including anytthing. the dealer fees alone are $500 here. does anyone know the invoice on a 2009 base auto camry? or a 2010 base camry. the only diff. here is that idk if i should pay around $600-$1000 more for a 2010 for 10 more horses and a 6 speed auto tranny? would you? i mean the mileage is almost the...

I think you can look for $1800-$2000 below invoice. OTD price really depend on your states. In CA we have ~9% sales tax so $25k OTD for a XLE would be hard to get deal.

You could try to ask the dealer. If they agree, they will probably get you for $400. If that fails, you could take it to a GOOD aftermarket alarm/car stereo store. I've read that some people have had it done for about $150-200. The only risk in doing this is if something electrical went wrong, Toyota could deny warranty coverage, blaming it on the keyless. That's why I would go to a very good aftermarket store and talk with them...

no. They tried forcing her to to get non special financing (10%...geesh), but they gave the special 1.9 APR or whatever the rate was in the end. No trade. That was the OTD cost with everything. While i will not give you my mom's name online (that is way too personal) I will tell you that he is pulling your chain and playing dumb. That said, Jony Dang was teh gu she was schedualed to meet. Whether it was him or not, I do not know. Like I...
