Twitter puts fans in direct contact with athletes, it cuts out the middle man. For me its worth it, its on the players to be able to think before they tweet.

I don't really think that a tweet about bad training camp food warrants anyone getting upset... They guy was so bad at typing (or so close to illiterate??) that you could barely understand what he was saying anyway.
