Thread: Too late to plant Red Storm Lily bulbs?

Started 2 years ago by chueh
I planted some Red Storm Lily bulbs last Fall, so they can bloom this spring. I am thinking of plant more. It is too late to plant spring flower bulbs in spring, right?

Do you, by any chance, know the botanical name for these lilies? It might be on the tag that came with them, or listed in the catalog from which you ordered them. yes, I did ordered them from Michigan bulb. Please see the picture in the link. The botanical name is Lilium 'Red Carpet' (Asiatic). Some of them were not doing well at all. That's why I asked for replacement. I just got the replacement and wonder if I could plant them now. Since I have them, I guess I will try them a try again.
