Thread: Tom's Inks(56 K beware) - Page 2 - Jinxworld Forums

Started 2 years ago by Tschloendorn
Ok guys and gals here's the last ink work from me this year. I probably wont be doing much until after the silly season. First up is a pin up penciled by Daniel Smith. Next up something from Clayton Henry. Lastly a Joe Mad piece that I'm sure most gamers remember. As always let me know what you all think.

Great inks. So clean. I'm especially fond of the Snake-Eyes/Punisher piece. I love the texture on that one.

Nice stuff, The arm proportions on the Joe Mad piece bug me but that not your fault !

Tschloendorn replied 2 years ago
Thanks guys. It's funny because my wife also said something about the arm on the Mad piece, but I can't put my finger on it.

Ok so I couldn't stay away from the table. Here's a pin up I was asked to ink up for someone to color. It's was penciled by Andres Ponce for the Wonder Woman day auction this year. As always you know the deal.

Before Christmas Sean E from the boards asked me about doing some inks for this so he could do some more color work, and I finally got the time between jobs to do it up. Penciled by http://wayofthegoo.deviantart.com/

Re: Tom's Inks(56 K beware) Here's a couple I just finished up. First up a Dave Finch homage to the old McFarlane Hulk cover. Next up is by Kevin Sharpe that I found on his Deviant gallery, and wanted to try a little ink wash. As always let me know what you think. __________________ Now available for cover, and pin up inks. Re: Tom's Inks(56 K beware) Both of them look great. By the way, is it too difficult to do the ink wash? __________________ In Vino Veritas

Awesome new stuff. I remember loving those Spidey pages at the Pittcon. I love that splatter as texture effect on the Ravager pinup as well, and that Tan Batman is just awesome. The only thing I can possibly crit, and it may have been in the pencil stage, Is Wolvie's arms. The hair should be thicker on the outside and almost bare on the bicep and inside of forearm. All in all spectacular work. You must have infinite patience to do this...

Great stuff dude! The only thing you may want to watch are the really thin, feathery lines you use. The problem with them is when reduced and printed, especially with color, they may tend to fill in and turn muddy. Vlad

Re: Tom's Inks(56 K beware) I like 'em! It's weird seeing some of my older pieces worked on-- you really made them shine. - jeremy __________________ ------------------------ http://www.jeremy-dale.com
