Thread: Todays fun ( Q9550 + GTX285 )

The picture speak for itself ! Went from ~19500 at 3.825ghz and 694mhz GPU to 21364 with these ! Im really happy, my goal was to break into the 21k club With my 21/7 3.825ghz and 725 gpu im at 20k. P.S. these are flashed clocks, i also tweeked the FAN slope so its REALLY better now !

I would think that your score should be higher and beat my 275GTX. Can you run Vantage? I'm sure the 285 should kill my 275 in that. I have a feeling 06 is still heavily CPU dependent. This is about as high I can push mine.

+1. You CPU score make the score ( your 600 higher in CPU ) A GTX275 isnt the far from a GTX285 .... They are very close !

Don't think 2006 does well with high end SLI. Vantage with the 285's SLI was 29k+.

ill be back with better MEM timing. Maybe 100 more pts Windows 7 PRO 64 just knocked at the door. Ill be able to run DX11 test and DX10 !

Yeah, I'll love to see that 6GHZ too, because it blows away the world record for that cpu, which is below 5GHZ.

you can get more out of that processor, the CPU VID is 1.3625 volts you should be able hit 4.5Ghz safely... the thermal max is 71 degrees, as long as your under that your warranty is still good. I got 6 GHz out of mine, with 2.1 Volts. a little extreme but awesome benchmarks. I guess it all comes down to what your cooling it with. I also Crossfired three HD 4890s, that helped.

nice clocks 500FSb will make that chip fly, glad I didnt get a GTX285 tho score seems a little low
