We are having 2 debates at work. There are alot of new studies out there regarding mounting tires. The new statistics show that on all vehicles the better tires need to be placed on the rear. Now while on the rwd cars it makes sense i would think that on fwd and 4x4 vehicles it is better to put them on the front. If you rotate your tires properly there shouldnt be a "better tire" situation in the first place...if you must replace only one tire, do a burn out on it till their even...
So put that in your pipe and smoke it...

A) Yes. I would think putting the better tires on the front of a front wheel drive vehicle makes far more sense.

Agreed. And for a 4x4, I always put the better tires in front, because they do the stopping. Getting going is trivial. Stopping is crucial.
