Hi,
I know there are some tint threads already, but many are several years old. I have a 2005 Prius that I'd like to get tinted. A local place is telling me that getting a ceramic tint will cost me about twice as much as regular. He is also recommending using Solar Gard supreme (with a lifetime warranty for $175.)
Thoughts? Recommendations?
BTW, he claims LLumar is bankrupt ...

Will 205/40ZR18s fit? Hello all,
I'm considering picking up a set of black 18" trd wheels (the ones for the scion tc) and am curious if a 205/40ZR18 size will fit our cars.
Thanks.
They replace the valve core. Some do it, some don't...I don't think you need it unless yours are leaky. (And if they're leaky, they may just need to be snugged up a bit.) More important to me is that they don't break the ****ing TPMS in the process of changing the tires! Been there, lost a fight for compensation, but I'm not bitter or anything...

It used to be called replacing the valve stem. It a way to build in additional charges to a tire change. Find a shop that does everything inclusive (free rototion and balancing).
Inspired by Chong's black low rider Prius, I'm interested in lowering the Prius. I searched online and in these forums and found nothing on how to do it. 1. What's involved in converting it to a low rider? New parts? 2. Does it void the warranty? 3. About how much does it cost in parts and labor for someone to do entirely (if someone like myself is completely inept when it comes to car mods, especially the prius, and would...
Just wondering if hog ring pliers like these will work fine on the Prius seat. Is it necessary to have both the straight and the angled pliers? http://www.tooltopia.com/kd-tools-37...googlebase_18u I bought a $50 electric carving knife and it cuts through foam really well. I'm going to do some shaving of the seat bottom foam myself, after I get the seat bottom cover off. I don't know of any kitchen knife that will cut through foam,...
I replaced my crap stock tires with actual high-performance sports tires: ADVAN AD08 205/55/16. I care about grip and cornering and I'll be happy if they last 30,000 miles.

Creaky , Thanks for giving this thread a bump. There has been no movement on this idea over the past year. The manufacturer/programmer is waiting for a Prius driver to come by so that they can run some data retrieval kind of stuff -- I'm not all that savvy on these things -- to see what they can do to make the unit more Prius/hybrid specific. So, once again I make this appeal: Is there anyone in an easy drive's distance from Ann...
Those are the ones I used to install my leather upholstery. I felt I could have done fine with just the straight ones, but having both was handy in a couple of places. Use hog rings from an upholstery shop, not from a farm supply. Others had good luck with tie wraps, but I suggest the hog rings. Use a heavy duty wire cutter to cut the existing hog rings.
Hi Boo, yes, I did add the extra tape per your suggestion on 3 of the 4 small pieces...one of the small pieces didn't need it. I didn't realize it until I had mounted the longer pieces, and then saw that the smaller piece was noticeably sticking out further on one of the handles. I carefully pried it off and remounted it with only a single thickness of tape, and it was fine. So, I think I'm all done with my appearance mods. Now...
