I had thyroid cancer diagnosed and my thyroid and lymph nodes taken out in July 2009. I am wondering, for those of you who have had this done as well, how long it takes to feel normal again? What is your medication set at? What are you taking? Hard to say when I started to feel "normal" again. The first 6 months or so I was taking Cytomel and Synthroid together and then switched to another Endo and he switched me to all Synthroid. I didn't really notice an energy change when that happened. I take 250mcg of Synth. I'm a 28 year old 235lb male though, which might have some impact. I had my thyroid taken out because of cancer in apr 09. I have just noticed in the past few weeks that I have been feeling alot better. Before this i was miserably tired and had no energy whatsoever I have noticed I dont take as many naps as I use to just on the days I work (I get up at 230am yuck). I am on Levothyroxine 175mcg I didnt think I would ever get better, but even tho I do feel better i hope this isnt as good as it gets.
