Thats right. All of you. I know the UFC's presentation seems to be trying to appeal to teenagers from the late 90s, but lets look past that for the actual fights that will guarentee to entertain you. Suffer through the thrash metal-rap, experience the best form of competition.
I will start with a breakdown of the three main events. Will do a synopsis of the rest ...
Alright moving on to our main event. Brock Lesner vs Frank Mir
If there is one thing the UFC loves, its a rematch. I guess it happened in an elimination bracket, so its not like they planned it. Im looking forward to the fight, dont get me wrong, just something about rematches not long enough after the last encounter.
Lesner is a big gorilla from pro wrestling. The guy has shown...

Thanks. Good to know. No tv so I'll have to catch those at the sports bar... great atmosphere.

I definitely think Brock should compose himself a little more this fight rather than coming out machine guns blazing. Should Brock decide to go for the take-down I think he should pick his shots a little more carefully on the ground rather than hammer fisting at 100mph. Stand-up wise I think that Mir has a more crisp and technical striking game along with very good muay thai but Brock has ...
Im a really big Nog fan aswell. 2nd favortie fighter actually (Sakuraba number 1).
It sucked to see him lose that fight, but it was kinda a relief. He had been rocked so bad in recent fights that he had me watching his fights with my hands over my eyes. The Mir fight almost killed me with anxiety.
He has taken alot of damage in his career and may be near its end, but i think he can do ...
OK...
So I really, really, really want to see Dan hand Bisping's little b*tchy British arse to him...I used to like Bisping, but he seems like a real douche now.
However, part of me wants Bisping to win ... so that he can go on to Anderson Silva and be so humiliated that he'll never want to fight again.
GSP/Alves--
GSP by RNC. Just watch. Alves reminds me of a glorified BJ Penn on ...
Hey guys, I've started the MMA group over here for after the fights Sat night - http://www.rottentomatoes.com/groups/100006532/ (feel free to join )
Again it's more just a place for MMA fans to hang out and talk MMA without having to bump threads or start new ones for every big show. Not going to post there til after the fights, so we have this thread.
Unfortunately, I'm missing this event. But I'll make predictions anyway.
In the main event, I like Brock Lesnar by TKO in the fourth or fifth round. I can see Mir doing well with his stand up in the early going, but I think Lesnar will smother him with his wrestling in every round. Lesnar made a mistake in the first fight, and I don't see that happening this time. He's going to have ...

The entire place I watched Mir/Lesnar1 erupted during the entire 90 seconds. Can't wait. Lesnar was just way to eager in that fight, he was rushing things. I don't think he should go for takedowns (even though that's his wrestler instinct to do) but keep ...

I think he is a natural fighter who, while limited in skill currently, will...
Have you guys heard recently Shane McMahon left the WWE recently and met with Dana about getting into the UFC. According to MMA Live on ESPN, reports are saying Shane recently cashed out $50 million of his eighty million in WWE stock and wants to buy a minority stake in the UFC. (Dana a couple months ago said he wouldn't mind someone buying some minority share into the company so long as they don't control it.) I'm not sure...
**** sakes, not a good sight when I'm eating breakfast. That was a jaded move to shoot in when touching gloves, but can't fault him for it. TUF's premiere scored record ratings. It's all Kimbo. No matter how he appears on the show - and the company would be smart to protect him - he should be given a six-figure contract. Like Brock he brings in interest, ergo money. (And, ya know, I've started to come around on the...

I am new to watching MMA, but I can't help but wonder why Fedor didn't sign with the UFC. It seems like there is bigger names to fight there. Aside from Uriah Faber, I don't know many names in this league of fighting. Are there worthy opponents for him to fight?
