Thread: This Saturday, really early Aurora area...

Is there ANY course that I can get on really early assuming there isn't frost ?
I've emailed a half dozen courses near Aurora where I'm traveling to this Saturday the 14th, and they all basically told me to go screw myself, they don't open early...
I have to be OFF the course by about 10am, but I routinely play in under 3 hours by myself, so it shouldn't be an issue if SOMEWHERE will let me...
It's unlikely you would even find a tee time before 8 am at this time of the year. And the likely hood of frost is very good outside Toronto. North of the city has already had snow, Toronto has only had the usual.
I know I have no chance if there's frost, but assuming the weather forecasts are even close, and it doesn't get below 3 degrees, is there anywhere that will let a single zip out early ??
Or, as its starting to seem, is that just something that's NEVER done in the Toronto area ?
Tee times, the bane of my golfing life.
I don't know how many times this year I've showed up at a course I ...

Then I suggest you make a habit of packing it in come November 1st.
If you were to play on greens that were covered in frost, it would be like smashing a thin plane of glass....the grass would never recover and even if it did, would be a pain in the butt to get it back to the way it was.
This is one of the biggest reasons why come late Oct, courses push tee times back to around 10am, so as to avoid the lengthy frost delays and allowing the sun to burn it off.

I'm not exactly sure why you'd recommend that, but thanks for the advice.

I've been looking at the weather forecasts, there appears to be a CHANCE there will NOT be frost. If there is, so be it, I will not play, of course.
I don't see what the harm is for course to have ...
