Thread: Thinking about a 7.62SD

Started 2 months ago by holdem
I have a few pistol caliber cans, Evo 9mm and Outback II. When I started shooing a few years ago, I shoot only indoors. The cans made a huge difference. But now that I am shooting outdoors, while they do quiet the gun, it is not as noticable as indoors. I have recently aquired my first rifle, a LWRC M6A2 in 5.56/.223. I am thinking about the 7.62 can for use on this and probably a REPR in 7....

If you use a 5.56 can on your LWRC 5.56 you will get back-gas/squirt-eye out of the charging handle port. I can definitively say this because I run an M4-2000 on my LWRC. Using a 7.62x51 can will get you less squirt-eye, but the sound suppression will not be quite as good. LDD, how did you fix that gas blow back to your face? I already purchased a PRI gas buster charging handle. Still getting gas directly to my face. I have a 9.25 inch POF upper and AAC M4-2000 (if that makes a ...

Ador: I wish you'd asked me before you'd spent money on the gasbuster, but I can't blame you because I made the same mistake many years ago (and I still have the gas buster and use it, but it's not really a necessary or effective solution IMO). Here's my post on the topic: http://sigforum.com/eve/forums...=345104051#345104 051 (might have to scroll down a bit, but there's a photo) Just ...

I have an '07 SD on my FAL with 11.5" & 17,5" barrels, I find it quite usefull. Though gas blowback is present.
