Thread: There's a big strike zone tonight.

Started 1 month, 2 weeks ago by Phifty2
For both teams though, so it's cool but damn if they aren't calling anything even fringing the zone a strike. Question is, who will capitalize on this?

Didn't get to see it, but from looking at the box, it looked like Tillman threw well yesterday. I'm not going to get to see Matusz throw today, either. I've got to work this afternoon. I am thinking about going on Friday night to see Tillman pitch against the Angels.

Arrieta threw well last night for Norfolk and picked up the win: 6 INN, 2 ER, 6 H, 0 BB, 4 SO Brandon Snyder has brought his numbers at Norfolk up to 280/333/383 due to a great 2-3 week stretch he has been in.

That's VERY interesting about Zaun. I never got that vibe from him; and I kind of considered him as a guy that wants to break into coaching and was happy to add 'I raised Matt Wieters' on his resume. Looks like I am way off. Perhaps this explains Trembley's reluctance to pinch hit for Zaun. Ever. I think I believe what is written there. I'm happy enough with Moeller. Same type of player as...

Tillman pitched pretty well yesterday. He just got a little unlucky the first inning with that homerun by Rios. But after that inning, he didn't give any runs. Too bad the Blue Jays got lucky and won in extra innings. I can't wait to see Matusz pitch today. Unfortunately, its going to be against Halladay. But we could probably win a game against a bad Jays team.

I think its going to be a good game. Also, I meant to say a minute ago... what do you read into that Dempsey comment, Scarf? I'm not completely into all of the 'gossip' (if you want to call it that), but I have a always had an implication that Dempsey hates Trembley, and that he wanted that job, and is insanely jealous. He never comments on Trembley on-air (it would ruin his 'homer' persona), ...

With the lack of runs the Jays have been giving Halladay lately, I wouldn't be surprised if you guys won today. Should be a good game either way, though.

Could we win 8 in a O_o?

Unfortunately, I didn't get to see the last 4 games as I was on vacation, but I got to see the scores and I'm happy to see this winning streak.

Well that was a fun inning. Brought out our inner Mets apparently.

I could swear they would have been out of that inning if not for the bullpen. Oh...didn't know. Unlike you, I don't have a doorway to alternate realities where we see what would have happened under different situations. Never could afford one. Darn.

I'd do Austin Jackson + package of Montero-less minor leaguers for Josh Johnson in a heartbeat. He won't be as dominant as he was in NL (obviously) and isn't anywhere as proven as Halladay, but a 25 year old ace is as golden as it gets when you're not Felix Hernandez.

It never is. Winter Meetings are more of a formality than anything else. On a side note. If I let my closer go for 3 innings regularly on The Show. Will it up his stamina the following season?
