Demons are one of the most hated things in WoW and yet... You see the average lock going about with their Demonic minions.
Lore wise, they would all be skewered or something now... So I've been thinking that it's finally time for them to hide. By doing this, I beleive more interesting RP will come out of it... And less lorelol with it.
Some thoughts please? :P
I fully agree. At least in places like Orgrimmar.
The sad thruth though, is that people don't care enough to stay IC when they are hanging out near the AH.
I'd afraid I do not agree. Demons, like there Masters. Have been sanctioned. While in cities, be it Stormwind, or Darnassus, they are perfectly allowed to have a minion following and or protecting them. If the Alliance accept Warlocks into there walls, they -must- have come to accept Demonic minions assisting them.
Aslong as the said Warlock isnt running around like ''WtfBBQtheEntireWorld!''...

I'd like to draw attention to a concept:
http://www.wowwiki.com/Uncorrupted_warlock
vs
http://www.wowwiki.com/Hidden_warlock
Some player-characters are one, whilst some are the other. Generally, an uncorrupted warlock will have to prove him/herself to the Alliance/Horde in order not to be driven from cities/have to be come hidden. Kall's an uncorrupted warlock (although she struggles with...
Blood Elf Warlocks are accepted under the terms of "It's just another way to make yourself stronger.".
Ask the Silvermoon City Guards to a Warlock trainer and they'll word it better than I can.
First of all: "This topic is new and interesting."
Now that that's out of the way...
Warlocks have earned their stay in the cities by working hard to prove that they can be a useful asset. People might not like them, but the Warlocks are certainly well within their rights to be in cities and be open about what they do.
Observe the Argent Tournament, where Tirion Fordring, the Ashbringer, -...
Yeah, reading the title I was expecting complaints about a major PvP buff that would make us overpowered again or something T_T
Anyway, I think the "Hiding" in Stormwind is partly because, yes, they are legally in the city -BUT- the Stormwind Guard still does not trust them and will do everything to make their lives hard. So by hiding they avoid unnecessary conflict. I think ...
That's a good point, but it doesn't apply to all characters. Sure, some Warlocks may want to avoid conflict, but others may think being proud of being a Warlock is more important. And others again may think that they've earned the right to walk around in the light, so to speak, and refuse to hide themselves or their minions for whatever reason.
Ah, sorry Thermo. And no, 3.3 is all about Icecrown Citadel and Quel'Delar (I go on the PTRs every now and then, the first two of the new instances are OSSUM!)
Q u o t e: I've always found it pretty rude to do the "pally sense tingling" sort of thing. If there's nothing specifically marking anyone as any paryicular class, it's just polite not to impose things on them. How do NPCs always know your class anyway? Especially that damn altar boy! "Welcome to the Cathedral of Light, Warlock!"

Q u o t e: Ignoring every thing else because, well, it's been said over 9000 times and even if it hasn't, it's common sense. Now, why we don't hide. Because it's boring sitting alone. People who have any idea who I am would know I have alot of experiance, as I spend hours and hours on my spot above the Undercity, sometimes several hours go by before any RP happens. I can live with that because I'm a multitasker,...
Q u o t e: How do NPCs always know your class anyway? Especially that damn altar boy! "Welcome to the Cathedral of Light, Warlock!" That annoys me soooo much. He says that and every head in the damn place snaps around to look at me... "warlock, what warlock? Where?" I had a post but it got forumed, maybe I'll make it again tomorrow
Q u o t e: I've heard it said that fel users or heavy users of.. any form of magic infact produce a "stench" picked up by some people who understand what the smell "is". Or something. I don't necessarily mean an actual stench either. Could be a "feeling" or an "aura" or something. I dunno. Not trying to justify it, just trying to give logic to the madness....
Good, evil, corruption and purity are all seperate things! Not all 'evil' deeds are comitted by corrupt people, no, no. A good example would be the Scarlet Crusade (or Onslaught, if you feel like being a pedant). Oh yes, their methods are certainly evil, but the majority of them are pure, thanks to their faith in the Light! (Although, there's some very impure beings manipulating 'em, mhm)

Q u o t e: I've had that line used on me, my response was, where's the emote? The OOC whisper of "does your character focus on shadow or fire so I can rp what I detect if anything?" Sadly, every time these people have looked and gone "oh, hi warlock". That's always poor rp to me, as is any form of dictating what my character is to me. Other than the big thing in the corner of the screen that...
Q u o t e: And here's the thing: I personally don't think that throwing a Curse of Agony on a bandit, demon, Scourge or random monster that has slaughtered innocents is a bad thing. That's -my- opinion. Now, how are we gonna decide whose opinion is superior? So your opinion is that torture is not a bad thing as long as it's only used against bad people? And as long as warlocks only torture bad people, the warlocks...
Q u o t e: "Hark, evildoer! Feel the fury of my mace as I break every bone in your body! Feel the power of the Light as it burns your flesh! Eternal torment in hell awaits your soul, foul villain!" Yes, Paladins truly are a beacon of hope and goodness. Put it into context. Q u o t e: Hark, evildoer! Feel the fury of my mace as I break every bone in your body! Feel the power of the Light as it burns your flesh! Eternal...
