Definitely agree clawme ! I couldn't get into this season as much as usual...nobody I loved, and nobody I hated. However, of the final
3, Nick and Starr were at the top of my list. The frat boys were too stoopid to win, and Tina and what's his name bugged.
Yeah, I was meh on everyone this year too. Nick and Starr ran a good race, though, and were strong contenders the whole time. Tina and The Cheater...so
annoying! And, yeah, the frat boys were dolts. That said, watching that one dude trying to march a few weeks ago was definitely a highlight!
Dare I say it, I thought the finale was a ho-hum bore. Last season's "how much do you remember?" chore, where only ONE team member had to put
items from the different places on a platform, was way more interesting than watching them peek into clue boxes. That said, definitely the most deserving team
won.
Speaking of that team, do you know what their last name is? It's Spangler. Think about ...
Howdy, stranger.
All those quirky, cool new shows were pretty much ruined by the strike last season. Daisies and Eli were doing well (Dirty Sexy $$ not so much) were doing
well, then lost ALL momentum with the strike. When they came back this season, no one cared--viewers hadn't had
time to develop a commitment to the show.
I kinda figured this damn writers strike was a death certificate for pretty much half the new shows that began in 2008. Can you imagine, if Eli or Pushing
Daisies had actually started this year, or maybe the year before the strike?? they would probably still be on the air! I am wondering if Eli Stone's last
episode was last week. Ugh. I really liked it, surprisingly. i usually don't go for any ...
I'm bummed about Dirty Sexy Money. I'm a big Peter Krause fan from Six Feet Under, which I think is the standard to which all other series should
aspire. Even though they'll never match the magnificence.
I'm also excited about Lost, clayzorback . My boyfriend and I just watched all of the season over the last few
months. I'm all caught up now and ready to go@
Holy crap.
Is anyone else watching 24 ?
It kept me jumping tonight - and this is just the first two hours of a hellacious (and usually waaaay OTT) day. I love me some Jack Bauer. Especially when he
is beating the hell outta someone.... heh.
Every year for the past several I'd start watching 24 and then as the season went on I'd get increasingly
disgusted/bored/whatever and drift away. So this year i made the clean break and watched the Golden Globes instead. Jack Bauer and I are officially broken up.
clawme!! (I cannot find the emoticon box. Am I crazy?) I am happy we have another Lost fan in the house. I can't wait for the premier. *squeeeees*
What do you think this year, flash forwards, or flash backs like season 1 and 2? I enjoyed 24 but it doesn't seem like anything HUGE has happened yet. I
mean, they already found tony, there has to be something else? This is 24! Every episode has a ...
Yeah, guess we know why that didn't air until five to eleven, huh?? There was a couple of seconds with the sound cut out on my broadcast. Did others have that? What'd he sing, if so? But that fall will go down with the JoBros in the AMA Wipeout Hall of Infamy! (Kudos to the dancer, though, for going down to her knees to help him try and cover--unfortunately the sound effects caught on the live mic made it abundantly clear that it was...
Sorry, Abby and Mik . I was grumpy. I just can't tolerate Ruben - never could, never will. Can't sing in tune, misses all the high notes, melismas all around every pitch but never really gets there. Blech. That's my preference (or not), though, and I should remember to shut up about it. I apologize for being bitchy. Please forgive me. I was really mad at Adam and I took it out on you. I have and always will value the vocals and...
Don't get me wrong, I think Madonna is a fine vocalist for what she does, but I don't think she's in the upper eschalon of vocalists. She's a good, competent pop singer.
Meh, I suspect Madonna was pushing her limits vocally with Evita and probably got some help with the technology available. The role suited her well and the back-story (her wanting it so badly) also made it a perfect fit. I suspect she identified strongly with Eva Peron which also made the role perfect for her. And don't get me wrong, she did an outstanding job overall. IMO, Madonna created catchy dance music at the right time. Again, she...
YEAH!!! Way to go Donny!!! DWTS Champion!! Woo-Hoo!! And he even sang "Puppy Love"!! I *heart* him!! criddlesing .......you really MUST give Adam's album a listen. If you liked Freddie Mercury & Queen there are at least two songs on it that you'll LOVE. The title song "For Your Entertainment" that he debaucled on the VMA's is reminiscent of a Britney song.....maybe why that's he...
Shady .. I wish I had a button to push to buzz your ass awake before shows! Yay Donny!! I wanted him to win all along..basically so Mya wouldnt. Kelly might have been likable and all, but she shouldnt have still been there beyond Aaron or Joanna imo. Clay4me dont sweat it on the grumpies. The first thing I thought when you posted was that I was being pretty generous to big Rube. He could never truly compete against a guy who sings a note (in...
You don't owe me an apology at all clay4me ! Lord knows I have strong opinions about lots of stuff, and am not shy about expressing them. We just see it differently, thats all. I admit I'm a bit disenchanted with Adam. I think he has a stellar voice, but I have grown to hate that shrieking thing he does...whatever the hell you call it. It hurts my ears and for me, pretty well ruins any performance where he does it. And for me, I...
I really enjoy the music and I love Kurt. Love. Him. And Finn was sweet tonight and damn if I'm not feeling some empathy for Quinn. Mr. Shue's wife, OTOH, can take a flying leap somewhere... In other news - if Clay's going to be on Oprah, it had better be before Sept. 9, 2011! Oprah Will End in 2011
