Thread: The good, the bad, and the ugly of endings | Forum | Gaia Online

Started 1 month, 3 weeks ago by Beranyth

The final book, The Last Battle, nearly had me in tears for the ending, but it was happy at the same time. I was really, really disappointed in the ending for "The High King" in the Pyrdain (sp?) Chronicles series. It set itself up ...

Lit·er·a·ture – noun writings in which expression and form, in connection with ideas of permanent and universal interest, are characteristic or essential features, as poetry, novels, history, biography, and essays. "I was actually kind of disappointed with the ending of Harry Potter . It would have been perfect if it weren't for the rushed epilogue that she ...

Xero Kings Yeah, Nardia was (and still is) one of the best series I've ever read. Lord of the Rings actually has more stories after it. More stories after it? I can't think of any, and I've read lots of the extra works. The closest thing I can think of to it would be the appendix, or the part of the Unfinished Tales with them talking in Minas Tirith (though, technically, that ...

The best ending I have ever read was in Sex, Death, and Starshine, by Clive Barker. The worst was in the last book of Cirque Du Freak.

Javier Cross Xero Kings Goddess Andromeda Xero Kings Goddess Andromeda The Good : Harry Potter . Seriously, anything that involves a huge battle and having the main character (sort of) die just gives me thrills. And the epilogue was a nice touch. Oh and the ending of Percy Jackson was just perfect. Completely worth a years wait. The Bad : Anything by Jacqueline Wilson. She's an AMAZING writer, but I never like the endings of her books....

That disturbs me, Xero....even Richelle Mead made more of an honest effort to making proper war scenes, even though Vampire Academy's war scenes were below the standards of that of either the Potter-World or the better-done Percy Jackson And The Olympians novels, sadly enough. That said, i honestly believe that either the entireity of the Potter-world or the entire cast of the Percy Jackson And The Olympians novels, could actually take on...

The ending to the Harry Potter series was fantastic. Loved it. heart The poorest ending to a book / series I've ever seen, is of course the ending of the Twilight series. stare

Shelley's Frankenstein honed the crappest ending to a gothic horror book ever, but after reading it the whole way through, it was expected. Which is also crap.
