3. The Wolfman
It may have been delayed a time or two, but 'The Wolfman' is still a thriller/horror that promises a fascinating take on the monster movie, with
Benicio del Toro as the ...
Found a copy in local supermarket. Confusing as they still had the old one
with the black cover out on the shelves. Contains a 3 page article about
the film. Tells a bit about the history behind it. Interesting.
I'll go to the newsstand tomorrow as I didn't have time today... To get my hands on this mag... But unfortunately I can't make any scans,
'cause I of course don't have a scanner with me...
I don't have the faintest idea how to get the article from my scanner onto here. Happy to try if someone gives me instructions but tried to e mail my niece
something I scanned once and failed miserably so best not get your hopes up!
Well, I haven't spilled until now, but on May 17 (my birthday), we (I, my mother and godfather, who visited me in London for 4 days) actually
accidentally walked into the set of 'The Wolfman' at the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich
(Stunning. I'm sure you remember it from last year.)... I say accidentally, because it was a total coincidence as I didn't know that Vic Armstrong and
his ...
First Look: The Wolfman
PRIMAL FEAR
Olly Richards
Universal's Benicio Del Toro-led remake of 1941 B classic The Wolfman promises to up the terror quotient with its more complex take on the legend.
And terror is something much of the cast confessed to feeling when the original director walked off the project...
As a raging fire blazes at a distance of not-frankly-enough feet ...
Thank you, Ladyfourfingers!
I don't see horror movies very much. But..
"This is, after all, more his baby than anyone else's ".
It is Benicio's passionate work.
I'm looking forward to the release. I will be fascinated by the wolfman even if he bite me.
You are welcome...
Wonder if Mark Romanek will ever be asked in a future interview why he quit 'The Wolfman'... Would be interesting to read...
There is still that word floating around that Romanek was actually on the verge of being fired before he chose to walk. That Universal wanted to take it out of
his hands. And that he made things easier by just departing himself...
But ...
Folks, Benicio is in London again since at least May 19...
So we just wandered past Benicio del Toro. The actual del Toro. Smoking a cigar and everything. At a cafe. Toro.

He is doing pick-ups ... I'll come back to this thread later and explain and add more
info...
I just wanted to stop by to post this article... Thank you, scf424! "It's a big quality piece of entertainment. It's beautiful, rich, gothic, tragic -- it's everything you hope it would be." Yep, that's what I wanna have indeed! "It's an authentic, make-up-driven film, but there are transitional pieces that we needed to do in CG, so you didn't have to cut away during the change in the...
Wolfman producer explains delays, promises 'beautiful, gothic, tragic' epic FOR a film about shocking transformations, director Joe Johnston's $85million remake of The Wolfman has been through a few of its own. Producer Scott Stuber has spoken about what's been going on behind the scenes but first here's a reminder of the film's production history. The monster tale began when original director Mark Romanek quit...
Thanks Lady, these trailers look wonderful. The music in the trailer seemed suitable for this type of film. I am assuming it is not the rock grunge music of Paul Halsinger, who recently replaced Danny Elfman. Hope that everything works out for the best with this film.
Wow! Thank you, Ladies. The distributor was decided in my country. But the release date isn't announced. I hope that the film will release in the next summer at the latest. I'm really looking forward to the film.
scf424 wrote: I don't think the movie is scary, as much as it is bloody. You're almost meant to root for The Wolfman. What is the morality issue? Maybe it's not morality, but more of my being so conservative about the films I see. And unlike most of my friends where I'm from, I'm not spoiled and go to see as many Rated-R films as I please. But I also have that feeling to root for The Wolfman.
