Thread: The Pre-Thanksgiving Box Office Thread - Where New Moon makes $100 million opening weekend.

Started 1 month, 2 weeks ago by Simple Jack
Figured with the Holiday season coming up this thread should cover Nov. 6, Nov. 13, and Nov. 20 weekend. This upcoming weekend is crowded, what will come out on top? I think it's too early for Christmas Carol.

Christmas Carol will definitely win as well as do better than The Polar Express. I think the question is whether it could open to $40m.

LMAO, I am probably going to see The Box, in a near-empty theater. And I didn't even like Donnie Darko. Or Cameron Diaz? It will be a total BO bomb, obviously.

Also Planet 51 should be looking at a $12m+ opening as well, if not high-teen, and it could eat some business away from ACC, but the latter will recover well from Thanksgiving on through Christmas.
