Thread: The Poster Child for W163 safety

Demosan, Glad your wife is not harmed. We lost our ML 320 in almost a carbon copy of what your wife's collision was like. I was amazed I walked away. Like your wife the curb also tipped the truck when the wheels on the passenger side hit the curb. I was hit in the drivers door by a Ford box truck. The truck was written off in Dec of 2008 with 8,000 miles and the ML 430 replaced it.

Good no-one got badly hurt. Good to know that the car did a good protecting job.

The 2001's dont have the head air curtain either right. Very Impressive, again glad everyone is ok

Wow!!! You and your wife really have to thank God because contacts like that with semis don't usually turn out too good for whoever! I'm glad to hear your wife is fine. One thing that surprises me though is the fact that the motor was still running after a full rollover. I thought they'd shut off for that kind of impact! On a more general note, however, though MB safety engineering is tops...

Glad she survived that close encounter w/ a semi :-O Make sure your wife gets checked out by a doctor. I had back pains for a week after being rear ended way back and they didn't show for a few days...

can i be the first to ask for parts?!? just kidding! sure happy to hear your wife is ok! do u have pics from the inside? i wonder what would happen to a passenger on the RHS.... stories like this make up for all the little troubles/problems/annoyances this truck has!
