We can also discuss the current job market and where the industry will be headed in the next few years. Off shoring ...

hopefully i'll be working in the computer networking field in the next couple years. seems like the most interesting field to choose from compared to programming. IT better not let me down. Im relying on the industry to make me rich.

Businesses are rapidly getting tired of dealing with the nightmares of outsourcing/offshoring, and the inneffective IT solutions that such brings. How can people who don't even speak good English, and ...

i've been impressed with the stuff done with ruby-on-rails and it makes an excellent platform for small/medium businesses. I am pretty sure most companies realize standard apps, as we known them, are dead. The future belongs to web apps that are platform and vendor neutral.

Anyone know what the most interesting area of IT is in terms of full time work? I'm really curious about the field as I want to make a career change.

Well, just make damn sure that it will help you get a job afterwards. Be careful though, some of those programs are very expensive. NASP is like 15k or something... a bit ridiculous for a 10 month program.

Well for the person you answered... I wouldn't go into support... first off it has way too many people... and tough to differentiate yourself from others... then the pay sucks because some dude in india can do it for 1/3 coin. Take the advice of the other person tbh... much better career prospectives and the knowledge is very transferable. This is coming from a guy who has been a network admin for 7yrs -sg Database (DB Admin, Data...
