In the early 1970's a friend while hiking in the remote hills of the most southern Utah, found an old German Camp, rusted out Radio equipment, Generator,
provisions of all sorts and manuals all in German in a small cave. Outside the cave was an air drop box. According to him these things had been there since the
time of about World War II. My question is, what was a German Camp doing in this ...
Dig,
Somewhere I have a published story about this information. The story tells that the group came up from Mexico and it did involve a treasure. Other than that
I would have to find it--it's been over twenty years since I read it.

I'm still waiting for a half decent explanation of how the LUE is actually supposed to be a map of any kind. In the absence of numbers or letters and no
discernable way to establish a general location where the symbols might shed some clues it still baffles me how anyone thinks this is a map in the first
place...
Randy: It's not a map, it's a waybill. Common sense tells me that if it really is in Masonic code, then the Masons would have found it decades ago.
Hmmm, a hundred tons of gold at $1000.00 an ounce = 2.4 billion dollars. About the annual city budget for Salt Lake City.

I still fail to see how it represents any sort of placement, distance, directions referenced to ...
I Have to agree with that the geometric design is quite precise in many ways. I have sat up many nights with a nice cup of Earl Grey foldin and cuttin and
pastin like a 1st grader with a pair of scissors and a glue stick. Still no success. Someone told me that it could be spiritual in a way and that I should put
the map under my pillow, take some L.S.D. lay my head to rest and see what comes ...

I wasn't going to be the bad guy and say it. Glad Digger said it.
It was on the cover of a high school geometry text book.
I'm guessing since Digger is about my age we had the same text book.
Inside the cover it said where the illustration came from.
I can't remember exactly all these years later, but it was of not much importance.
"Graphic art by ___" ...
Good Lord Randy, I'd love to help you but...I threw them damned books away long ago......I think at the middle of each semester....
Although I was a wiz at geometry.......I have always wondered when that "Map" showed up first.......do you have a date O'L Von published it?
I vaguely remember what Florida is talking about, as I recall when I first seen it I knew I had seen it before.........
I have found Saopstone before there at Soapstone. Picked it up and drew right there on rocks. Never knew it was caused by the way you are saying. Learn something every day here. We got vents and caves all over the Uintas. Holes are marked all over Lightening Ridge in hopes that no one will drive off in one. I would not hike around that area at night time in any kind of way. Faults in the Uintas! Only more than a guy could possibley see in his...

WOW what a night that was. but ill keep tryin.
